Professor Dr. Siddiq Afifi, President of Thebes Educational Institutions and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Merritt University, extended his sincere congratulations to the Egyptian people on the anniversary of the 10th of Ramadan victory, stressing that it is one of the great days that we cherish and are proud of.
He added that this great victory restored Egypt and the Arab nation’s pride and dignity and was the strong beginning for Egypt to regain all of its lands.
He added that this glorious victory confirms an important principle that we must all believe in, which is: Dream boldly... plan precisely... and execute with perfection, and this is what President Anwar Sadat implemented, who dreamed that we would defeat Israel in 1973 after the defeat that happened in 1967, so he planned carefully and remained... The late leader, Muhammad Anwar Sadat, planned very carefully. He used to plan for sixteen hours a day with specialists. He also used camouflage and executed it perfectly, and he was able to achieve the dream, which was to defeat Israel, a dream that many believed would not be victorious, and that he committed suicide with that thought.
Therefore, these are the characteristics of a successful leader, and Sadat has many qualities, but the most important of his qualities is his secrecy during the time of war, even from those closest to him.
He added: We previously hosted the late Dr. Jehan Sadat, who confirmed that she did not know the date of the October War and that the late leader Muhammad Anwar Sadat hid this news even from his family, and this is something worthy of appreciation.
