Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Seddik Afifi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thebes Academy, the Academy continues its silver jubilee celebrations, which began at the beginning of this year 2024, when the Academy was decorated with banners to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its founding.

The screens in the academy also display videos about the history of the academy. The videos include the opinions of a number of experts and professors who have dealt with Thebes Academy over the past twenty-five years.

Professor Dr. Siddiq Afifi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thebes Academy, said that the final touches have been put in place for two major celebrations of the Silver Jubilee of Thebes Academy on April 29 and 30.

It has been decided that the first celebration of the silver jubilee will be on April 29 at the Taibah Academy headquarters, starting at ten in the morning, which will include a speech by the founder of the Taibah Academy, Professor Dr. Siddiq Afifi. There will also be a parade in which 12 student committees and families will participate.

The celebration after the parade queue includes a meeting in a large amphitheater at Thebes Academy in Maadi to honor the top students who achieved advanced positions in the 2024 Ministry of Higher Education competitions, after which the student activities exhibition will be opened in the presence of a committee from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

After that, the sponsors of the celebration present at the academy’s headquarters will be visited, such as the Tourism Promotion Authority, which will provide free trips to some students. Institutions and banks will also provide educational and awareness seminars for students regarding the labor market. Among these banks are the Bank of Egypt and the National United Bank. There will also be handmade products from Bahia Hospital sold at nominal prices, and sports activities will be held for students in five-a-side, chess, drawing, table tennis, and others until the end of the day.

Professor Dr. Souad Abdel Khaleq, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thebes Academy, stated that the celebration of the next day, April 30, will start at one o’clock in the afternoon at the police officers’ guest house in Nasr City and will be under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Invitations were also sent to leaders of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and various institutions and companies.

She added that the ceremony will include a brief video presentation about the history of the founder of Thebes Academy, Professor Dr. Siddiq Afifi. It will also include a segment honoring the academy’s graduates who are in prominent positions in the labor market. The January 2024 Silver Jubilee class will also be honored, and a five-minute video will be shown in which academy students will speak. There will also be a music concert led by Maestro Dr. Mustafa Ahmed and the Taiba Chorale Band, which won first place in the Ministry of Higher Education competition for twenty years in a row.
